She will be here so soon!

It has been way too long since we have updated the blog and posted some more recent pictures.  Everything is going well, we are just counting down the days until we get to meet our sweet baby!  We went to the Dr. last week and learned that we already have a big baby on our hands, the Dr. said she is very tall with long limbs.  Emma is measuring about a week and a half ahead, so we know baby Payton is very ready to be here.  We are scheduled to be induced on the 23 (yes, the day before Thanksgiving!) but the Dr. thinks there is a good chance that she will be here sooner!!  It seems now that this pregnancy has flown by, we are spending our time making sure the nursery and house are %100 ready for baby Payton's arrival.  We are adding a picture of Emma at 36 weeks, and numerous pictures from all the amazing Baby Showers that we have had!  There is also one nursery picture, just a couple of things to still put on the walls and a table/lamp to get in place and everything is ready!

32 weeks

We made it to 32 weeks on Tuesday, (hopefully) no more then 8 weeks to go!  We are getting so excited to  finally meet her.  She is moving like crazy now starting around 3:30-4am and continues throughout the day.  Maybe if we are lucky we can keep her on this schedule once she is born!  We are posting a picture of Emma from Lindsay's wedding, she is just under 32 weeks and also adding some updated nursery pictures (Cassie, these are for you!)  October is a busy month for us, it is the start of our baby showers and Jake is heading off to Chicago this weekend to run a marathon!  Hope everyone is enjoying this amazing fall weather, we are hoping it sticks around for a while!

Almost 31 weeks, time is flying by

With just over nine weeks to go, we are so close to meeting our baby girl!  Of course to Emma, nine weeks still seems like a very very long time....  Everything is going great with the pregnancy, Emma is feeling good other then feeling sleepy alot.  It has gotten harder and harder to get a good nights sleep, Payton is kicking and moving around like crazy.  Its a great feeling to have, but at three in the morning can sometimes keep you wide awake :)  On Monday night at our child birth prep class Jake got to experience the Empathy Belly.  Our instructor strapped it on and then we had him do different things that get more and more difficult with a big belly, switching sides when you're sleeping, tying shoes, picking things up ect.  Jake was a good sport and it was all worth it for the pictures!  The nursery is almost complete, we got our chair/glider and put up the curtains last weekend.  We will post some finished pictures hopefully in the coming weeks.  So glad today is Friday, hope everyone has a great weekend!!

3rd Trimester

We made it to the third trimester and are luckily still feeling great!!  We went to the Doctor yesterday for a sono and regular checkup.  Everything checked out fabulously and she is growing right on track.  She weighs around 2 1b 13 oz and is around 14 inches long!  We have officially decided on a name for our baby girl and decided to go ahead and share it with everyone, Payton Belle Benezette.  Her middle name is a family name we got from Emma's late grandmother on her mother's side.  Just over 11 weeks to go until we get to meet our little Payton, we cant wait!!

26 weeks today!

We have reached the 26 week mark and can not believe how fast time is going by!  Just around three more months until we get to meet our baby girl :)  We completed the painting in the nursery and Jake put the crib together.  The nursery is slowly coming together, over the next couple of months we need to get her rug, curtains, chandelier for lighting and  hopefully our chair/glider will be ready to pick up soon.  Emma is definintely going through her nesting stage and really wanting to get the nursery completed as soon as possible.  Now that she is over her battle with Kidney stones, she is feeling great and has a good amount of energy.  We start our 5 week Childbirth Prep classes on Wednesday night and are both looking forward to them.  For one part of the class Jake has to wear a sympathy belly, so that should be entertaining!! We are posting pictures of Emma at 24.5 weeks getting ready to go out for Lindsay's bachelorette party and Emma at 26 weeks.  We are also including updated pictures of the nursery and some outfits that Jake got for his birthday that was on Monday the 22nd.  One is perfect for watching some football with her daddy and the other is what Jake wants her to wear home from the hospital.  We are looking forward to some fall weather and some busy months ahead, between weddings, school reunions, races and baby events, we know the time will fly by!  Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Almost 23 weeks, Baby Benezette is growing!

We have almost hit the 23 week mark!  Everything is going great with our Baby girl, and hopefully Emma is finally over this awful case of Kidney stones.  We are guessing our Baby will have a huge sweet tooth just like her mama, because Emma is craving everything and anything sweet.  We never seem to have a shortage of candy and cookies in our house lately :) We started painting all the trim in the nursery this weekend and hopefully will get started on the walls over the next week or two.  We ordered her crib and rocker last weekend from Buy Buy Baby, every little thing we do for her makes us realize how real this is and that in around four months she will be here!!   We can't wait, and know the time is going to fly by fast.  We are posting a picture of Emma at almost 23 weeks, she will hit that mark on Tuesday.  There is also a before picture of our nursery, and hopefully we will make alot of progress over the next month or two.  We cant wait to start getting her room all put together!!

Halfway there!

We hit our twenty week mark yesterday and are so excited that we have made it this far and have a healthy baby on the way.  We are working on narrowing down Emma's list of names but are planning on keeping that quiet until the day baby Benezette comes into the world!  Not too much to update everyone on, Jake is busy putting in our kitchen backsplash and window trim and then our kitchen is finally 100% complete.  Next on our list in the nursery, we will post a completed kitchen picture soon and updates as the nursery comes together.  Aunt Brooke and cousin Ella came over this past weekend and brought our baby some adorable clothes and some cute little boots!  We are posting a twenty week belly pic, of course it seems to be growing like crazy now.

It's a Girl!!!

Hi everyone!

We are starting this family blog and hoping it will be a good tool to communicate all the news and updates about our baby and everyday life.  We went to the Doctor yesterday for a sonogram and check up, I am just over 19 weeks today.  They are about 90% sure that we are having a girl, so we are just going to go with that and assume we have a baby girl on the way!!!  We are so excited for this news and so happy that our baby is healthy and growing well!  We have another sono scheduled in eight weeks and will be able to confirm the sex then.  So far Emma is feeling great and her belly seems to grow overnight.  We are going to include a prego pic and a sono pic from our Dr.s visit yesterday, our baby has such a cute and perfect profile!  Now that our major kitchen remodel is almost totally complete we can focus on getting the nursery together.  Lots to do, painting, new windows and picking out furniture and accessories.  We will keep you posted on the progess as we move along.
